Lashing Capacity is not the same as breaking strength or motorcycle weight. The correct setup also depends on your anchor points, strap angles, attachment locations, pack quantity and the complete restraint system.
AS/NZS 4380:2001 compliant range. Use suitable attachment points and follow your motorcycle manufacturer’s transport instructions.
Many motorcycle transport setups use four restraint points. The number and arrangement depend on your motorcycle, trailer or ute, available anchor points and the manufacturer’s transport instructions.
The 750KG Complete Protection Kit includes four straps. The 600KG and 1000KG options are two-packs, so two packs may be needed where your setup calls for four straps.
Ratchet straps use a handle to build tension in controlled increments. Quick-release cam buckle straps are tensioned by pulling the webbing through the buckle.
The 600KG Quick Release is convenient for frequent loading and unloading. Apply tension evenly and avoid unnecessary over-tightening with either mechanism.
Soft loops wrap around suitable structural attachment points and help keep metal hooks away from paint, chrome and other finished surfaces. They are useful where a hook cannot connect cleanly without contacting the bike.
The 450KG, 600KG and 1000KG options have built-in soft tie-off loops. The 750KG Complete Protection Kit includes four separate soft-loop straps.
Lashing Capacity (LC) is the rated capacity for securing a load correctly. Breaking strength is the minimum breaking strength in a straight pull; it is not the normal working restraint capacity.
Choose using LC and never exceed the stated rating. LC is not the same as motorcycle weight. Anchor strength, strap angles, attachment points and the complete restraint arrangement also matter.
Inspect webbing, stitching, hooks, buckles and ratchets before every use. Do not use straps that are cut, heavily frayed, stretched, corroded, deformed or no longer operate correctly.
Check strap tension shortly after starting your journey and periodically on longer trips, as the motorcycle, suspension and restraint setup can settle.
